Founded in 2018, just a year before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, SSC has faced its fair share of challenges and setbacks.In its early days, SSC encountered criticism, belittlement, and even the hardship of being expelled from their partnered swimming pool during the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite these initial setbacks, the founders of SSC, Mrs. Raya and Mr. Ek Samedy, were fueled by a tragic drowning incident that they witnessed. This experience ignited their commitment to create a safe and nurturing swim learning environment, and they remained resolute in fulfilling their mission of preventing tragedies. One of the key factors that sets SSC apart is its diverse range of services, catering to individuals of all ages and needs. SSC offers adult swim classes, toddler swim classes, swim classes for children with autism, swim classes for pregnant women, and even first-aid swim classes. Nature’s Touch: Boran Care’s Organic Skincare Revolution

Growing up with a strong passion for learning and a deep interest in science, Mr. Lim Seiha directed his enthusiasm towards a future career in food processing. Combining his interest in food research and teaching, he became an educator at one university in Battambang province, where he shared his knowledge with the next generation. It was during this time that the seeds of THUPBO AgriFood were sown- a product processing business with a core mission to help with issues of surplus Cambodian vegetables and financially struggling university students.They provide a wide range of products including fermented fish paste, dried pickled green peppercorn, instant ginger tea, and instant turmeric tea. Among these offering dried pickled green peppercorns have emerged as a popular product. These peppercorns are carefully harvested by hand from local farms, such as the AgriSud project and Samlot district under the Soil for Life project. The remaining peduncles of the peppercorn are utilized as natural fertilizer, promoting sustainability. The highest-quality peppercorns are then sent to a processing plant, where they undergo a series of steps, including pickling, drying, quality checking, tasting, and packaging, to ensure a top-notch final product for customers.THUPBO AgriFood collaborates with agriculture cooperatives, NGOs such as GIZ, UNIDO, AgriSUD, and Sustainable Soil for Life Association, as well as freelance consultants, designers, printing houses, Easy Find Cambodia, and various partners from the public and private sectors including University, institution, MISTI, ASIP, CONSA Tech, and Zooms for marketing. These partnerships contribute to their success and enable them to reach a wider audience. They generate revenue through B2B2C and B2C sales, offering products such as dried pickled green peppercorn, instant ginger tea, instant turmeric tea, ginger powder, turmeric powder, and fermented fish paste.Mr. Lim Seiha’s involvement in the i-Stories program, organized by the Angkor Social Innovation Park (ASIP), has been a game-changer for him. By actively participating in the i-Stories program, he is not just adapting to change; he is actively shaping the future of his business through his commitment to innovation and progressive management and product development strategies.His new innovation is fermented fish paste also known as Prahok which is a cornerstone of Cambodian cuisine. Traditionally, fish are cleaned, salted, sun-dried, and fermented in earthenware jars for weeks or even years. It provides protein and nutrition during tough times and is an integral part of family recipes and traditions. After spending nearly five years working in Korea, Mr. Som Sovung returned to Cambodia with a breakthrough idea that would revolutionize the local juice industry. Despite Korea’s reputation for high-tech sectors, Mr. Sovung recognized the country’s significant emphasis on agriculture and the invention of value-added products. Inspired by this, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with a few close friends and founded Veha Juice.At Veha Juice, innovation lies at the heart of their business model. While they offer a range of delectable options including dried fruits and fruit juices, it’s their Longan canned syrup that truly stands out. The process of creating their delicious Longan canned syrup begins with a meticulous selection of the finest Longan fruits. These fruits then undergo a specialized cleaning method to ensure the utmost cleanliness. Once clean, the fruits are carefully peeled, revealing the juicy part that will soon become the star of their products. To enhance the flavor, the Longan fruits are subjected to a brief freezing process, followed by steaming. This unique method allows the fruits to absorb a sweet syrup, resulting in a burst of flavor with every sip. Finally, the syrup are quickly cooled in water or ice, bringing them to perfection.However, Mr. Sovung faced a significant challenge in adapting the production of canned Longan to Cambodia’s warmer environment. Previously, the product had a limited shelf life of just one month and a somewhat bland taste. Leveraging his valuable experience in Korea, Mr. Sovung successfully merged Cambodian and Korean standards, resulting in a canned Longan product that not only boasts an incredible taste but also has a shelf life of an entire year.To reach a wider range of customers, Veha Juice employs a comprehensive distribution strategy. Their products are sold directly at physical shops and distributed to retailers, wholesalers, marts, supermarkets, and other strategic partners. This multi-channel approach expands their market presence and makes their products accessible to a broader audience. Additionally, their well-designed website, active social media platforms, and user-friendly applications enhance their brand and engagement with customers.Mr. Som Sovung’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond Veha Juice. He has joined the groundbreaking i-Stories project by Angkor Social Innovation Park (ASIP) to further support local businesses. Mr. Kouch Sengthai‘s art passion has driven him from a teenage dreamer to a sculpting master. Born in Siem Reap, a culturally rich Cambodian province. Culture preservation has always been Sengthai’s goal. Discover ANON Cambodia, founded in 2022 to safeguard Cambodian landscapes, and its magical world. Imagine sawdust, leftover wood, husks, leaves, and trash turned into beautiful handicrafts, bringing sustainability to life. ANON Cambodia creates beautiful objects, protects the environment, and promotes Cambodian culture to tourists at all levels.The process of crafting beautiful sculptures starts with carefully choosing and refining discarded materials such as sawdust, wood, husks, and leaves sourced from different partners in Siem Reap. Mr. Sengthai appreciates the inherent beauty of these items and skillfully repurposes them into the building blocks of his art. Following a careful filtration process, the materials are then mixed with resin and subsequently dried. These labels not only add depth to the sculpture, but also create a meaningful bond between the artwork and its admirers. Once finished, the sculptures are carefully prepared for shipment to important partners such as souvenir retailers, hotels, villages, and other recipients.Each sculpture took him around a week to make, but he’s confident they’ll be significant and worth it for him and his buyers. He sells sculptures directly, partners with souvenir retailers/wholesalers, and works with hotels and villages. Digital platforms like social media and websites affect public image, sustainability, and cultural preservation, especially for eco-friendly souvenir lovers.Did you know that he is also taking part in the innovative i-Stories project by Angkor Social Innovation Park(ASIP)? This exciting project aims to foster innovation in the local business community.
